Jeff McNeal at thebigpicturedvd.com is reporting that Lowry Digital Images (famous for their work on NORTH BY NORTHWEST and CITIZEN KANE for Warner) was hired by Disney to work on SNOW WHITE AND THE SEVEN DWARFS.
This doesn't surprise me considering how good the picture quality on SNOW WHITE is. But apparently Disney isn't trumpeting the fact.
Also Jeff mentions that they worked on DOCTOR ZHIVAGO for Warner. That's the first I'd heard about that. Good news.

Disney needs to give credit where credit is due!
They also deleted the credits for the restoration of Fantasia on the current DVD. I was really disappointed to find that they didn't even include the 1990 re-release credits which gave credit to the original film and also the restoration crew.
Does North By Northwest and Citizen Kane have a credit for Lowry Digital Images?

This Lowry Digital info is very interesting. Maybe reviewers should start highlighting DVDs that were worked on by LDI. It could prompt better DVD authoring in general :)

That's nothing. In the documentary sections of "Disney Through the Decades" when they get to the 80's, they fail to even mention the one man who is responsible for saving their butts: Jeffery Katzenberg. No big surprise, considering the bad blood involved, but still. You'd think from watching those segments that Michael Eisner was God. We see where he's led the company after Katzenberg's departure.
