Replacing my mini Bose speakers (1 Viewer)

I have decided to upgrade my HT front speakers. I currently am using an old pair of the Bose Acoustimass satellite speakers w/subwoofer. My receiver is a Yamaha HTR-5660. My main concern is size. My TV sits in a corner with my audio rack to the left- and a fireplace to the right, so I don't have any room on the right side of the TV for a floor-standing speaker. My Bose are currently wall mounted with the flexible mounts so I can "aim" them.

I am aware of the general forum concensus of Bose speakers- but don't know if I can wall mount a standard bookshelf speaker and still achieve the angle I need to face them forward. Are there other "satellite" style speakers that might work? I tend to use my system more for movies and TV then music. My center speaker is a Polk CSi30 and my powered subwoofer is a 12" Klipsch. My surrounds are ADS in-wall. Suggestions and comments are appreciated.

I use a pair of NHT SB1's as my surround speakers. They match the sound of my ADS speakers very well. The SB1's could also be used as front speakers and they have a screw hole in the back you can use to attach to a wall mount so that you can angle it however you need.

I would guess that other NHT speakers, and maybe some other brands, include provisions to mount them to the wall using a bracket that allows you to aim them as you need.

I would suggest you check out NHT. They make great speakers in all price ranges.

I think if you are looking for small speakers, you shoud look at:

Energy Take 5 system
Gallo Micro and Due Nucleas
B&W Lifestyle (I think that is their name)
Blueroom Minipods (have some nice wall mounting brackets)

There have been posts like your before in this forum. Do a search and see what kind of recommendations you can find. Just get those Bose out of your house

You could get a pair of Take 5.2's or even a Pair of the Energy Encores and both would sound worlds better than the Bose and still be wall mountable and aesthetically pleasing, I've got Energy Take 5's and the Wife really likes them visually as well as sound she cant wait for me to go up to the Connoisseur's with there beautiful canadian maple finish :).

Thanks for all the advice.

With my center channel a Polk, I started looking at Polk. I brought home a pair of the R30's. I had to move a few things around to make them fit, but my initial tests have been promising. And to think I had been listening to those damn Bose mini's for almost 8 years! What a difference the Polk's made. It's nice to be rid of those Bose satellites and that bass "module."
