Hello I'm new here but I have a question about replacing a sub. I recently purchased a Sony DAV-FX500 and didn't relatize until I put it together that the sub gets power from the reciever. I have a Sony SA-WM40 from a previous setup that I think might sound better than the sub that is packaged with the fx500. Is there anyway to hookup the WM40 to the FX500?

Hi Brandon - the DAV-FX500 uses proprietary cabling, so you're probably out of luck. This is one of many reasons not to purchase a home theatre in a box.. Sorry!
