I'm going to take a chance that this is the correct

place for this. While shuffling equipment around,

I cut the power cord of my DP870 and haven't been able

to locate a replacement. The cord plugs into main board

power supply of the unit with what looks like a 2 prong

plastic Molex connector instead of being soldered onto the

board or using bare wire screw-in.

Is there anyplace on the web that might sell a replacement

or anyone have a person/connection at Marantz that might

know. My luck trying to call Marantz Technical and Service

has been fruitless and more than a bit frustrating.

    Thanks.

I would expect if you disconnect it at the connector, take it to home depot or equivalent, you should be able to find a replacement for it and the plug.
Might try asking at AVS Forum under Audio/Video Improvements, as there are a few discussions about upgrading power cords, which you may or may not be interested in but could be of use.

I've taken it to a couple places without much luck. I could probably fix it with a couple parts from Radio Shack

though I haven't looked too hard at that option since I'm getting ready to try selling the unit and would like it

to be as presentable as poossible -- seems that non working equipment doesn't get much respect go figure.

I actually had borrowed a cord from another unused device and used it without problem for awhile in my system, but I'd like to get it as close to spec as I can first.

    I'll look at AVS, thanks.
