Replacement for Toshiba 50H71 (1 Viewer)

Has anyone heard what will be replacing this set? Yes, I know it's 4:3, but unless I can convince my wife otherwise, that is what I may be going with since the majority of my family's viewing is OTA and DirecTV.
On a side note, if you have the 50H81,is the stretch mode to view this type of broadcasting (to fill the screen-preventing burn-in) acceptable? i.e.,not fat and squatty or vice versa?

I have the 57H81 and I noticed the wide screen format for 4:3 signals much better than most of the other sets. I have seen some awful looking "stretches" out there. You're hard pressed to notice an unnatural look with most all types of scenes.

Anyone else care to weigh in on this? I'm still looking to find out if someone knows any info on the new 4:3 model that will replace the -71.
