After reading the previous thread, I felt that is was my civic duty to create a replacement cover for the upcoming Murder By Death DVD. If you haven't seen the "official" DVD cover, it's really, really bad.
I created a new DVD cover inspired by the original cover art. Here's a preview:

This DVD won't be released until December 18, 2001. But since the original cover art is so ugly, I wanted to get this cover out as quickly as possible so that the official garbage hopefully never has to grace any of our shelves. [IMG]
    Enjoy the replacement cover!
P.S. Say your goddamn pronouns! [IMG] [IMG]

Nice job, Mike. I haven't seen this movie, but I may have to order the DVD so I can have an excuse to print out your handsome cover design. [IMG] Well, the recommendations of fellow HTF members are good reasons to order it, too.

    Excellent job!
...wondering why the studios can't do as good a job...

Thanks Mike! I've printed a copy of your cover with my trusty Epson Photo Printer on glossy photo paper. Looks fantastic!

    THANK YOU SO MUCH!
What an affront to all the fans of this movie the new cover is. YUCK!

I just tried the link and it doesn't work. I'd really like to print your cover.

Columbia/Tristar's DVD covers make me wonder if they commissioned the good folks at Merleson's to do the artwork in Microsoft Paint.
    "MERRRRRRRRRLESON'S"
(Merleson's is the cheap, fictious company Conan O'Brien jokes about.) [IMG]
