I know how to physically replace the woofers, but how do I select new ones that have close to the same performance as the old ones.

I can't seem to find anyone who does this for the old Carver line of HT products so would like to do it myself.

One of the woofers has been damaged and flaps on deep passages.

    Thanks for your help.

Since these are older speakers it sounds like the surround material is gone. No worries, it disintegrates after years of use. I would look into getting it re-coned. A local speaker / hi-fi shop should be able to do it for +/- $35. Now if you blew the speaker all together that's a different story [IMG]
