I currently am running a Carver AV 705X with my Yamaha 995. One of the channels is no good in the Carver so I am only using 3 of the remaining 4 for the front LCR and 2 of the amps in the Yammi for the surrounds.
I would like to either buy a new 5 channel amp, or maybe buy a second amp to add to the Carver. I would like a warm sounding amp, preferably to power my mains and maybe the center (Paradigm Studio 40s and CC).
I've been looking at Rotel, Parasound, and Adcom (Any other brands?). I would probably buy used.
I love the Carver, but it is a bit harsh when you turn up the volume. What would be a warmer sounding amp for me?

    Any info would be appreciated.

    Thanks
    Steve
