well i do work part time at a blockbuster and i get annoyed everytime i see a thread that includes the words "ballbuster" or another derogative remark about the store.
every blockbuster is not typical of the complaints we have read many times in the past.
plus i consider myself to be very knowledgeable do to what i have learned here and from much research in reading other forms of information.
i'm 38 years old and have retired from the post office. i just have this for part time to be able to rent all my movies for free and have a chance to talk to people about movies.
my wife loves that i have this job because it also works so that i use my paycheck to pay for my dvd buying every week.
i do all i can in the store to inform people of the reason full screen is not good.
it still hasnt worked for most people, but at least we dont hear the complaints anymore.
we just get a "face" when we tell them movies are only coming in widescreen for the foreseeable future.
i am able to give people information on almost every movie in the store, and they appreciate it.
recently someone bought the vhs used of monsoon wedding.
they returned it after trying to watch it and found it was subbed.
upon looking at the box nowhere does it say it is a subtitled movie.
and i never saw it so i didnt know it was.
i see no problem with letting folks know the movie is subbed.
as long as it isnt coming across as a know it all.
