Removing Protective Shield on Mits. (1 Viewer)

I own a Mits. 42313 and wanted to know if anyone has removed the front glare shield in order to improve the viewing image? I am having the set prof. calibrated next week and will also inquire if this is any type of improvement.

Steve I removed the protective/glare screen on my 65" Mitsubishi about six months ago and feel the picture is much better without the reflections from the screen. You have to be carefull when removing the screen though to make sure you don't scratch the main screen. The cost for a new screen is big$$$$
