I have a H/K AVR 225 receiver and I can't program the remote to work my Sony SLV-N60 VCR. I tried direct code entry and auto search method. I had no problem programming the remote to work my TV or DVD player. Is it possible that my remote just won't work with this VCR?

It's very possible that the code for your VCR does not reside in the memory of the remote you are trying to program. Out of all the receivers I've owned over the past 3 or 4 years, I've never been able to utilize the factory remote to control all of my gear. This is why the aftermarket remote control business is booming.

Make sure you are trying to program it into "VID 1" as that is the only one that will accept the VCR code. If that doesn't work then call HK, they have been very helpful to me.
