Remote broke for pioneer VSX-D503S receiver (1 Viewer)

I have an older Pioneer Pro Logic receiver an the remote broke. Many functions are accessible only thru the remote. I went to Radio Shack and bought their 6-1 univeral remote. About 3/4 of the functions work, but some important ones don't. What should I do? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Upgrade.

Unload that thing on your brother-in-law and do the right thing.

Last year I got a replacement remote for my Toshiba TV through a small appliance repair shop. If they don't have it, maybe they can steer you in the right direction.
