I see that Spectrum and Fortune Star have released the Jackie Chan Police Story Trilogy with DTS Cantonese soundtrack and supposedly new transfer.

Is one preferrable over the other, or are they both exactly the same?

Does one company produce better quality discs than the other, etc?

    Help a dude out!

    Thanks.

I've read somewhere in a HK forum that they have the same transfer.

Any difference in manufacturing quality or did these come from the same factory with a different distributor on the packaging?

    Anyone know for sure?

I think that there's no difference in manufacturing quality, and the transfers are identical.

I have the Fortune Star set, and while the news is mostly good, be warned: All three films include the original mono soundtracks (alongside the Dolby/DTS remixes), but the mono sound on both POLICE STORY I and II are out of sync. It's only by a few frames, but hugely noticeable on larger TV screens, and deeply distracting. POLICE STORY III is unaffected.
