I moved into a new apartment September 1, and now my roommate and I are looking to get a DVD player for the common room. We're using his 21" tube with RCA connections, so top of the line is hardly an issue. After the sub-$100 Toshiba player I got to replace the well-built (but antique) DVD player I got for the house back in New York shit the bed in under six months, I'm wary in what I buy. Right now I'm looking at the Panasonic DVD-S1. Can any of you recommend any decent DVD Players for ~$60?

To fit the TV stand I built, it can't be longer than 16" across. I'd also like S-Video, Component, etc. in case I want to migrate it back to the much better HT back home in New York.

The Sony DVP-NS55P is another option that I've heard is good for the money.

Thanks. Looked at it and liked it but it won't fit in the TV Stand.

New possibilities:
Panasonic DVD Player (DVDS1S)

(EDIT: Whoops, It's the same model only Silver
