I am sick of my slow and overpriced Time Warner Roadrunner cable internet connection. Are there any reliable 56k dial-ups available for $10? Which do you recommend?
I used Juno for about 2 years, and it worked well. No adds, and pretty good connections. I didn't experience many disconnections and I would be online for 2-3 hours sometimes. I still have my Juno account as a backup, just in case my high speed connection goes down for an extended length of time.
My parents use www.copper.net, and it works just fine. I think it costs $9.95 a month, but their yearly rate is $99, which is what my parents pay, which boils down to $8.25 a month.
I've been using NetZero for about a year. First as a free(limited usage)customer and now as a $9.95(56k unlimited)customer. My only real gripe is I occassionally get disconnected during downloads. If I had to rate them, I would give them 3.5 out of 5 stars.
look at www.ev1.net It's $10 a month. I used that for about 3 or 4 years, and I never had any problems. You don't have to install any software, like AOL or NetZero make you do. 100 meg web space, and as many e-mail accounts as you want...i.e. a junk one, and your main one. I can tell you more about it on Sat...when I am taking your money.
I have also been using Netzero for a while and I like it. I can't remember ever being kicked off like AOL used to do constantly. I just switched over to "Hi Speed" Netzero and it actually does make surfing faster. It's a whopping $14.95/mo.
