Anyone done a direct comparison between these 2 subs -

REL Stadium and Martin Logan Descent

Which did you prefer and why?

Since my home theatre system is used for BOTH movies and music it is extremely important to me that the sub work well in BOTH situations. Some subs work great for movies but are not good for music - example my current sub - Velodyne HGS12.

May I ask how did you arrive at these 2 models?
Which others did you consider as well?
    Just curious.

Martin Logan Descent because I have a Martin Logan Surround Sound speaker system - Aeons/Cinema/Scripts.

REL Stadium because my main home theatre dealer highly recommends the RELs. I have heard the Stadium in their B&W high end system and was blown away by the sound ... best home theatre system I have ever heard.

I have not heard these 2 subs compared - it is going to be one or the other. I am leaning toward the REL, but want to be sure I am making the right choice.

Both are very highly rated by Perfect Vision.

Since you're looking at some really fine pieces of equipment you might also check these out:
