My girlfriend wants to get a Region 0 (all region) NTSC dvd for a friend of hers who lives in austrailia. I know he won't have a problem with the dvd being region 0, but will he be able to watch it since it is NTSC and not PAL?

He shouldn't have a problem. Most of the rest of the world has dual-standard TVs

Yep, as Jeff so rightly says, most of our TVs and DVD players are PAL/NTSC capable (and multi-zoned in the case of DVD players).

    regards, Tim...

Depends on how old your friend's TV is - if its less than 5-8 years old, then its highly likely that it will be PAL/NTSC compatible. Older model TVs are PAL only (eg: my mum's TV)
