Probably around that time. DVD releases are generally after 6 months of the movie leaves theaters. Although I wouldn't mind another of Pixar's "Super-Genius!" editions. [IMG]

www.videotropic.com says that MONSTERS, INC. will also be out in October 2002. See the home page post of 12/05/2001.

Interesting site. But it doesn't make sense for Disney to market 2 huge films in the same month. Although I would have no problem getting either one. It would just make sense to release Monsters Inc. earlier.

Pixar movies have historically been released in the October following the theatrical run.

Luke is right the original version of A Bug's Life was released in April '99.
The Collector's Edition was released in November '99.
Jeff must be thinking of Toy Story 2 that was released last October.
That said, I am definitely hoping that the Collector's Edition is released as soon as possible, the Disney 2-discs are wonderful. Much better than the overrated Shrek disc (IMO) [IMG]

In the Snow White DVD, the Flyer inside sez that Beauty and the Beast is a November Title....looks like a Disney is lining up their ducks in a row... [IMG]

We can pretty much guess what at the very least will be on the DVD thus far:

    Disc 1:

    The Movie

    1.77:1 Anamorphic Widescreen

    5.1 Dolby Digital (and DTS?)

    Audio Commentary

    "For the Birds" Short

    Outtakes

    THX-Certified

    Disc 2:

    Teaser, Trailer, and Charades Trailer

    TV Spots

    Storyboards and Comparisons

Progression Feature using the Angle Key

    Story

    Computer Animation

    Voice Talent

    maybe a featurette

Hopefully there will be a lot more too, but in any event, Pixar has never ever let me down.

    Colin,

Forgot about Fantasia along with TS1 and 2. It looks like we'll be waiting a long time for this title. Not we that aren't used to it.
