Ok I hear people refer to listening to music and movies at
"Reference Level" and my question is: Is Reference Level the
same on all high end Receivers? For example my Onkyo DS787
states Ref @ 62 (If I am not mistaken) and the volume scale
goes past Ref to 70ish or so.
Ok another thing is Ref is @ 62 is this acheived with all
the channels set to a flat 0Db (L/C/R/SL/SR/SB) ? How would
a feature like "Intellivolume" factor into the equasion?
Since the Onk has this feature and it is adjustable from
-12Db to +12DB.
I am just curious that's all. Is Ref a certain Db like say
100Db? If so then I guess I would need to "Set" Ref using
a Rat Shack SPL Meter to ensure that Ref is accurate?
All I know is at Ref with all channels set to flat 0Db it's
LOUD as heck and it goes anoter 10db past that..
