I recently updated the hard drive (and motherboard and processor, but that is the subject for a future thread) and put windows on that one. However, while trying to get stuff off my old hard drive, I had forgotten that I password protected (and encrypted) the My Pictures folder. Are there any good programs to get those unencrypted (preferablly free ones)?

    More info please.

    What version of Windows?

Did you use a third party tool to do this? I don't believe its possible to password protect files and folders using NTFS--only encryption. Unless your talking about account passwords.

If your using the native NTFS encryption, logging into your account that you used to encrpyt them with should automatically decrypt them for you.

Is your user account also the computer admin?

    More info please...
