Cool thread. A number of high end firms use the Red Rose Sampler SACD for listening.

I am trying to buy the Eleanor McEvoy SACDs and CDs....

neat read.

i was surprised that a few companies said they only used measurements. how, is it at all possible, that they build music gear, but don't listen to music on them?

sheesh! :D

So I guess besides seeing what recordings are used by manufacturers to audition their own equipment, we see how some gears are designed. Very interesting indeed.
