I would like to record Winamp Visualizations with music to an mpeg format so that I could burn to CD or DVD. I have hooked up my laptop to my receiver and recorded this via vcr, but it doesn't quite look as good. I tried this one time playing the Pink Floyd's The Wall with Milkdrop and Geiss, and I would love to record it to a videocd or dvd and just pop it in my dvd player and watch it. Is this possible? Do you need more clarification?

I understand the users of Everquest, Star Wars: Galaxies and similar games make fan films using a video capture program called fraps. I have never used it and cannot vouch for it personally, but I would guess it would work for your purposes as well.
