I'm travelling to New York City for the 1st time soon and I'd like to spend some time searching for hard-to-find CD's. Can anyone recommend some stores with really broad inventories, new or used? I'm mainly interested in Rock music. I'm staying in Manhattan. Thank you.

Duuude... Rick - I don't know about for music, I just went to Virgin for that, but for obscure and import soundtrack cds? Holy canolli! You can't beat Footlight Records. That's where I've got all my Hammer Horror, Ennio Morricone, Akira Kurosawa, John Woo, and Goblin cds, among others. They've got ALL the Godzilla stuff that never gets printed here, but I know if I start buying those, I probably won't stop, and then I'll be in big trouble. I could blow so much cash there it ain't funny. If they weren't online, I'd probably move to NY. :)
