Recommendations for 6.1 Receiver?? (1 Viewer)

I almost purchased an H/KAVR520, loved the sound and versatility, but then I discovered it only has 5.1 channels. Can someone recommend a similar product with 6.1 channel sound for a street price of around $600?

Ok, scratch that. Why are some people saying that it only has 5.1 channels and the posted specs on the h/k website say that it's 7.1? Am I confused?

it's 7.1 with an external amplifier. the amplified section of all H/K recievers are 5.1. You should look at yamaha, pioneer, onkyo, and denon. they all have 6.1 and 7.1 recivers in that price range for sure....im not a big fan of the H/K gear. I worked selling them for awhile, they sound good but are very unreliable.

~$600, with the same musical sound and good amps, I would say the Marantz SR6200 or 7200 or wait a little bit for the 6300.
