i'm getting my B&K 507 today and, being in nyc, need a very good FM antenna for indoor urban use.

should i just get one of those Terk things or are there some that are much better?

thanks!

Since you are in the city, why not just try the wire antenna that comes with the unit? I remember getting great FM reception in the Bronx with just the wire antenna. If you don't like the results you can then investigate other options. I have a powered Radio Shack antenna that seems to do the job (I don't listen to FM much on my receiver). Do you have cable TV, perhaps they provide FM stations ? Is an outdoor antenna a possibility ?

I was referring to the Terk, Parsec, and other similar little indoor antennas -- whether amplified or un-amplified. The Fanfare and Dynalab are well thought of, however, and may pull in weak signals better than a simple dipole.
