My brother and his wife are looking for a TV for around $200. They'd preferably like something with at least an S-video input and resolution ability of the set to benefit from it.
I'm thinking there may be something in this range at about 25 inches but don't know yet. What can you recommend that they consider or stay away from?
By the way, this will be used in a small room viewed from about 8 feet away and connected to a Toshiba 6109c integrated DVD player/receiver. The player has component video outs.
Thanks for any recommendations!
Matt

you could try some searching on pricescan.com or other search engines. at least you'd get an idea of what is
available in that price range.

Matthew,
They're going to have to spend at least $250.00 to get anything decent. :)

Take a look at the Samsung 25 inch tv but figure around $250 for it & stay away from RCA & GE's.

Matthew,
Try Fred Meyer locally. I got a Phillips/Magnavox 27"PIP around Christmas. The store had an unadvertised special. A $399 set for $299. If they want to shop around they may find a 25" set for $250 (as the other posts have observed.)
The only other thing they may find for $200 is in the classified for used TV's.
