We have one of those brinks cases/safes but I'm looking for something more robust. The UL class on the brinks is 350 and a 1/2 hour. Plus spinning a combo to open it is a lot cooler than using a key :). The budget is $100.

PS. A safety deposit box is not that practical because of the activity fees.

I bought a basic firesafe - like a concrete briefcase. I think its rated to protect paper documents for 20 minutes in a fire. I'm not concerned about theft or fire, I just wanted to make sure I wouldn't lose important documents. This is heft and hard to misplace, so I have no concern about my passport wandering off.

What do you mean by "robust"? Protection against burglers? Fire-resistance? Cool-looking lock system? :)
