The most subterranean bass I have experienced in a movie is when the aliens are about to appear in the new The War of the Worlds. Just understand, it is so low, you need one HELL of a sub to really get it across. It actually feels like someone turns on a fan and aims it at you.

Also, the very beginning of Serenity, actually just as the movie opens. there is a bass tone that I thought was going to make the house fall down. Once again, this is absolutely subsonic, and does not even register on my lesser HSU subs.

I'd suggest U-571 also. Lots of good creaking and groaning in the sub, as well as depth charges.

I second The Matador. Your sub will get a nice workout from that movie surprisingly. I find it that strong.

Thanks, the Matador did have some strong base in the beginning. not to bad of music sound tracks, i found the film on the boring side. by the looks of the DVD cover it looked like it was going to be a lot of action.
