I'd like to finally get out of the receiver world and move on to seperates. Does anyone have any starting recommendations? I'm looking for a high quality pre-amp with more inputs than even god would have use for. I have a serious need for TONS of digital inputs. I mean, I need oogles of them! I have several DVD players, two sat feeds, soon will have 3 game consoles with digital audio out, md, cd, etc.
Also, how do you match a speaker to an amp? Do you have to match it?

There has been several discussion on this topic. You can find them if you use the 'SEARCH' feature.
Me personally, I am a pre/pro type of guy.

How much do you want to spend? The new Lexicon MC-12 (list is around $9000, I believe) has 12 digital inputs.
When Lexicon initiates its trade-up program in a few months, there should be a lot of affordable used MC-1's available, but that model has "only" 8 digital inputs, and it sounds like that may not be enough for you.
