Receiver Recommendations (1 Viewer)

I am interested in purchasing a new 5.1 or 7.1 home theatre system in a box. The only company I am familiar with is Yamaha as I have an older receiver unit from them. What other units can people recommend? Any reason to stay away from Yamaha or go with the company I am happy with? Your help would be greatly appreciated.

I haven't heard many people talk about the Yamaha HTiB systems. Many people really like Yamaha receivers though. Most people around here suggest Onkyo if you're set on getting an HTiB. However, you might consider a Yamaha receiver with a small speaker set such as the Athena Micra-6 or the Hsu Ventriloquist setup.
