I am thinking about getting a used receiver. Any receiver will be better built than mine, so I figured get more watts to each channel. I am thinking of 2 channel with a sub. Or should I go seperates? Which would be best for a limited budget?

I think I will get a receiver now with preouts to sub,L,R,C. Then get an amp for the mains later. What is a good receiver I can get for 150 on ebay or here? Thanks.

Unless there are some really exceptional deals out there (occasionally there are) I would not recommend separates to anyone describing themself as "on a limited budget". If your budget is limited I would concentrate on finding last year's models on closeout. Check the gotapex link at the top of some of the forum pages.
