I am in the market for a quality receiver to mate with my B&W cdm 1nt's. I am looking to spend $1000 - $1500.

The Pioneer Elite 55-Txi appeals to me with it's iLink interface, but I have not heard if Pioneer mates well with B&W's. I have heard that Rotel and NAD both do, but their lack of digital hi-res inputs worries me.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks,
    JT

That's the trade-off. You can look for some quality power sources, like NAD, Rotel, HK or Marantz (at least their newer models) or look for receivers with the latest and greatest features that don't necessarily stack up power wise. Companies like Rotel have slower product cycles (although they are starting to speed up in the wake of intense competition) and tend to be a bit sluggish when it comes to adopting new technologies.
