Hi everyone. I'm looking for reccomendations on a solid audiocard. I'll be pairing up my Yamaha V550 receiver with my Htpc i'm building up. My understanding is that i can get untainted 6.1 sound so long as the sound card i choose is compatible with dd/dts passthrough? I don't have to get a 5.1+ card is what i'm getting at? I'll definetly need optical outputs. This has to be a pci card, i don't have any front bays available on my dell 400sc poweredge server. Thank you very much

Via Envy24 cards work well, are easily supported in both Linux & MCE2005 HTPCs, and feature optical outs on the card, cheaply ($20) if you're just using the optical out, that's the only thing you care about, it's fine.
