Rear surrounds (1 Viewer)

In my growing HT setup I have Bose 901 spkrs for the mains and Bose 301 spkrs for the surrounds. Now looking for a good choice for the rear surrounds. There's always few of the Bose Acoustimass cube style speakers on eBay. I think these were sold as part of a system and not individually....can I use these as I would a standard 8 ohm speaker? I like them because of the small size, but Im not sure if they have some proprietary magic going on inside or if they're just a speaker.

No you can not use the cubes on their own. Bose "stupid logic" is in the bass module.
