I need to cieling mount my rear surround speakers.

They are Klipsch RSV-4 (http://www.klipsch.com/products/details/rsx-4.aspx) , as a result of this, the woofer will be on the top and tweeter on the bottom...basically, upside down.

will this matter much, or should I consider alternative speaker mounting options?

behind the couch stands is an option, although will take a lot of wire as the wire would have to travel through the cieling, down a wall, through the riser than out the riser to the stands...probably 40-50 foot run.

I could also buy in cieling speakers and install where the current set up will go.

or, instead of placing the rear surronds behind the listening position, I could place them on the wall next to the listening position ( this is a 7.2 setup, so I already have the side surronds on the side wall, located between the 1st and 2nd row of seats), and I would have 2 sets speakers on the side wall.

let me hear your thoughts!

thanks!

Go ahead and mount them to the ceiling, "upside down". That is no problem whatsoever. Do not get in-ceiling speakers.
