A friend of mine is running a 5.0 setup and we are very happy with all the components.

My question is about the rear speakers.

    Which way should they face?

    A) Towards each other
    B) Towards th listeners (Middle of room)
    C) Towards the front of the room (Facing fronts)

It depends on how you want the sweet spot.
#1 will give the best effect. But it only works for a very small area between the rear speakers. If you mostly listen alone this is probably the best.
#2 will give you a bigger sweet spot for multiple listeners. #3 Is robably too much. Pointing towards the center of the room some, but not all the way is generally prefered for a general sweet spot. It is not the most accurate, but usually a good compromise. Also this is prefered for music.
