Rear Ported Speakers (1 Viewer)

If I plan to close off a bay window area as the media room and plan on making the HDTV and speakers flush with the fake wall, do I need to be concerned with rear ported speakers as long as I leave room behind the speaker? Thanks.

If you want the additional bass output that the ports give then leave some room for the vents to "breathe".

When the speakers become flush mounted with a wall, that too will also change the sound.

I think your best bet is experimenting.
