I was just in a chat with a man who hopes to revive the Ghostbusters franchise. He's apparently under contract, so he can't release any major details yet. But, he did hint that RGB WILL be coming to DVD, and WILL be getting the special edition treatment.

This is all subject to change, but this looks like good news for Real Ghostbuster fans..

While I'm skeptical of the news, I'd be absolutely ecstatic if it was true. A brilliant animated show, and even when I watch it now, it's pretty clever.
I also liked that the characters were just real, normal humans. Sure, they changed the appearance a bit, but it's tough to find a cartoon that does things with ordinary-looking humans.
Although, the ghosts were damn cool, too. [IMG]

Here is a link to an article about that:

I noticed that someone already posted this link in the After Hours forum, but I am reposting it here because it mentions a possible DVD. (I actually found the link via Toonzone.net.)

I dunno about another Ghostbusters DVD. Can they really top the first one? I'd love to see a CAST Commentary added MST3K Style. Maby even have them poking fun at their own movie.

More Deleted scenes, and OUTAKES, if there are any...
