Jason,
You'll need to move your PC to the HT room. If you have a laptop, you're ahead of the game.
ETF generates its own MLS (maximum length sequence) tones. I believe you need a test tone CD with SpectraPlus (I never tried Spectra+).
If you don't have a full duplex sound card, you can d/l and burn a CD with MLS signals from ETF. But I believe best results with ETF are obtained by using the ETF generated MLS signals via your sound card.
I use the RS spl meter as the mic. Use a couple of stereo RCA to 1/8 adapters for the sound card. Run a cable from the RS meter to the line input of the PC. Run a cable out of the sound card line out to the CD input of the receiver. Tie the left channels of the 1/8 adapters together (see the first site below for a pictorial).
Here are a couple of nice help sites HTF members have created for the BFD.

Here are links to various analysis software:
ETF (~$150)
SpectraPlus (~$295)
Other:
Purebits
Trueaudio
Praxis
There are free demos of ETF and Spectra+. I don't know about the others. The free demo limitations on ETF are no file saving or printing (but you can screenprint and paste to Word or Paint). The free demo of Spectra+ is fully functional, but expires in 30 days. It also allegedly writes to the HD in a specific way (for anti-piracy purposes) such that you have to reformat that area to get rid of it.. or something like that, as I understand it.
HTH for starters.
