Funny, but the writer seems misinformed about the DVD market. There has only been one release of The Matrix. LOTR isn't out yet, but the multiple versions were pre-announced at the same time. And we're all tired of buying those Star Wars DVDs again every year, aren't we?
To be fair, there was talk of an eventual X-Men SE when the first version came out

Well its funny. I was wishing that somebody did this someday
I liked it.
But as for me, i dont care much about features.
It depends on the quality of the film.
For example, if a better edition of the Wings of Honneamise came out today, i will surely buy it. Even if it was a bare-bones release.
