Has anybody got any info on this new edition, I believe it streets this Tues.
Very nice....I didn't even know it was a 2-disc set. I'll definitely be getting it too if I can find it. I didn't see this listed in the Futureshop website so I have a feeling I'll have to look harder for this one.
Has anyone reviewed this yet? I already own the first Elite edition, which has many of the same extras, and I'm curious how the new version compares. Basically, I want to know if the improved picture/sound and new extras justify an upgrade from the first edition.
This is the only review I've seen so far:
Thanks, David -- that review answered most of my questions. It's unfortunate that the new version omits a bit of the commentary material, but that hour-long interview might be reason enough to upgrade.
I also have the Elite version.I bought it before I even got a DVD player.
I think the only difference is the new anamorphic transfer and soundtrack.
I watch the Millenium Edition friday night and I must say that I think its well worth the upgrade. The picture, while not exactly reference quality, looks better than the older Elite version and the Stuart Gordon/Brian Yuzna interview was very entertaining. I haven't had a chance to check out the other new extras yet. I know the commentary over the trailer been missing is a bit of a disappointment but I feel that the new transfer and extras more than make up for it.
Is this shorted or something? Deep Discount still hasn't shipped mine, and they've been very good with release dates lately. My last 6 or 7 discs from them have all arrived before release date.
Is the "Dream Sequence" included?
I got mine the other day and yeah, the Dream Sequence is the Deleted Scene. The over all package is really nice. I have the earlier version, but I don't mind having this new edition.
Went to Best Buy at lunch and picked one up. I got the only copy on the shelves
Cant wait to go home and see how it looks and sounds. A guy I work with is getting my old Elite version.
Went to Best Buy today and I got two Copies (The Only two) one for me and one for a DVD contest giveaway.
Love that fluoresnt green case.
The Best Buy's here in the SF bay area don't have any copies of this and have no idea when they will be getting them. The release date for this was April 30th. Tower Records is the only retail chain that i have found it at, unfortunetely i won't buy from Tower because they insist on charging full retail price for their CD's and DVD's. Get your act together Tower.
The tower at Noe & Market in the city discounts most new DVDs, have you tried Frys?
Who'd believe a severed head? Get a job in a sideshow
Yes I have tried 2 different Fry's with no luck and 2 best buys. I bought the Evil Dead book of the dead edition at BB for $29.99. Tower sells it for $49.99. That is robbery.
IFC showed this the other night, and i loved it.I'll definitely pick the new DVD up.
Oh,and i found 2 more reviews of it: http://www.dvdauthority.com/reanimatorme.asp http://www.monstersatplay.com/reanimator.shtml
Decided to give BB another try and they had one copy. Now if i could just find The Hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy.
Not to Thread fart, but I have yet to se HGTTG anywhere yet.
