I believe I read somewhere (sound & vision?)that a digital coxial cable is basically the same as a video rca cable. Is this true?

If so, has anyone every used it, and how go was the sound.

My reason for asking is that I am going to have to make a long run from my HD cable box to my reciever, and I know that I can get rca video cables a lot cheaper that digital coxial in any lenght.

That is essentially correct. Digital Coax is a myth, really.

A basic quality 75 Ohm video cable is all that you need.

Many manufacturers will actually say on the package composite video / coaxial digital cable, because there is no difference between them.
