I am trying to decide between the two TVs in the subject. I've found lots of reviews for the Sony but I can't find any for the RCA. Sometime this week I'll be heading over to Sears to compare both, but has anybody had experience with either TV?

Basically I can get either TV for about the same price, and a bigger picture would be nice. One thing I am unsure of is whether or not the RCA has a 16:9 squeeze mode like the Sony. Thanks in advance for any advice on this :)

Sure it would, but at what cost? Products from Thomson Multimedia are notorious for their reliability issues. Get the better-made set, which, of course, is the Sony.

I'm pretty sure the RCA does not do the "Squeeze Trick" & as stated above RCA has had a lot of trouble in recent years with repairs. If it's between the Sony & RCA GO FOR THE SONY! :D
