I read on another forum that people are finally receiving their replacement HDTV's.
I also hear they have a promo going until the end of the week whereby you can get a free progressive scan DVD player when you by the HDTV. (Model RC600P)

For what it's worth, I had an order placed for the RCA.
Then I learned that RCA TV products have the worst frequency of repair rate of any manufacturer. I ended up buying a Pioneer 510HD RPTV after seeing it's great picture quality in a hi-end store. I suppose that if one were to buy an extended warranty for the RCA, that workmanship concern would be reduced.
It's your call.....if it stays working, and you don't hear the fan too loudly, it will probably be just fine (the price will sure be right).

Can we confirm if RCA is using the exact same model number as the recalled set.... or did they just now release a "new" model (as was rumored)?
