Delighted for Rawhide fans! If this was a complete series release, I'd go for it in a heartbeat. If all seasons get released, I'll bite. Not before then. That's not to say I'm not excited....

Don’t they use sales figures for season 1 to gauge whether it’s worse releasing further seasons ?

At $40.94 per season US money, this will be a pricey journey for fans. Imprint is a high priced label and their prices don't drop much. The DVDs come out to about $220 if you want the entire series in SD. Just food for thought. I love Imprint's presentation of the shows they put out and I've splurged for Space:1999, so no judgement!

It seems like Via Vision likes to get the jump on some titles before a release in the US. It is unlikely that CBS/Paramount would not release "Rawhide" in HD at some point in the future. When and how we have to wait to find out. At least in streaming and possibly as a blu-ray release. If blu-ray, I would suspect it would be a complete series release as that seems to be their current norm. I'm willing to wait to see what CBS/Paramount does for the US market.

I do wonder if, maybe a few years down the line for Gunsmoke's 70th Anniversary, we might actually see a Blu - Ray set for it.

Same goes for Bonanza's 65th or 70th Anniversaries... That would be incredible!

Really happy about Rawhide, though. Can't wait till it's released on Blu in the US. I think that it's inevitable. Or at lease I hope so :D
