I've only seen a handful of films in 3D, all of which were during the 3D renaissance of 81-83.
Jaws 3D
Friday the 13th 3D
Creature From the Black Lagoon 3D :emoji_thumbsup: & the 2D version also works fine :emoji_thumbsup:
House of Wax 3D :emoji_thumbsup: but the 2D version doesn't work for me

No Dial M, though I would be interested in seeing a 3D version someday.

I saw Dial M for Murder in 3D when it was first released. Unlike most of the 3D films at the time, its use of 3D was subtle. But it clearly did not start a trend.

The downplaying of Dial M's 3D shots are what make the film hold up. I can say the same for Creature From the Black Lagoon.

On the flip-side some of House of Wax's shots were so garish & distracting they feel really out of place when watching the flat version.

I saw these on Count Floyd's Monster Chiller Horror Theater:

Dr. Tongue's 3D House of Stewardesses
Dr. Tongue's 3D House of Beef
Dr. Tongue's 3D House of Pancakes
Tip O'Neill's 3D House of Representatives

"Oooh! Scaaaaaaaaaary!"

These films range from just above average, up to North by Northwest and Vertigo which are among the very greatest (i.e all-time top 20) films.

Have'nt seen them all but (right now ... don't blink! :)) here's how I would rank them (I consider almost all of them excellent to masterworks except the last 3 which stil graded with passing marks). Anytime, anyone of the following (except the last 5) can be my #1 Hitchcock film:

Vertigo
Psycho
Rear Window
Rebecca
Notorious
The Lady Vanishes
The 39 Steps
Spellbound
North By Northwest
Rope
Strangers On A Train
The Birds
Marnie
To Catch a Thief
The Trouble with Harry
The Man Who Knew Too Much (1956)

I bought just 2 months ago (?) online his Criterion DVD box set in overstock and all those available collectors edition DVD in columbia house.

Just a slight tangent, I thought Creature from the Black Lagoon was terrific. It was even better, and really funny to boot, in 3-D. Damn that MTV generation laughing and sneering at everything upbringing. :)
