The great thing about most of his videos is the speed correction. It makes so much of the old footage really come to life by making it happen at real speed. And then there's the sound.

One of my fantasies is wanting to be able to travel back in time. These films give me a real taste of that (or as close as I'll ever get)!

Any baseball fans?? Check out the outfield at the original Yankee Stadium!!!!!!!!!

Amazing footage of both the 1911 NY and 1934 Yankee Stadium. A few things I noticed about the ballgame-
The batters didn’t wear batting helmets (I think they were invented in the 1940s
Amazing amount of space between home plate and the stands behind it
There were only 2 umpires- 1 handled the calls on the bases

How about some 90 year old footage from outside the White House? :D

2-21-29. Grace Coolidge takes a horse-drawn sleigh ride and it looks like they are removing snow from around the Capitol for the March 4th swearing-in of Herbert Hoover.

I think that's the first footage of him I've ever seen. Always a name...but without much of a presence (outside his music).

To not only see him...but to see (and HEAR) him conducting a march band is such a treat!
