    Hello,

I'm just wondering if there is a version of the ATi Radeon that has 128MB of ram and can run dual VGA monitors?

I've read that it does exist (looking at benchmarks and such), but going to ATi's website, there's no mention of it. Just a AIW 8500 or regular 8500 w/ 64MB.

I was going to go for the 9000, but from reading benchmarks, the 8500 seems to outperform the 9000 slightly.

    Thanks.

yup they exist. . . although you might have bettter luck looking under the name "radeon 9100" the 8500 was recently renamed to the 9100 because of the difference in performance you've read about.

Ok thanks for letting me know.

I was just curious about something though. Does it come with a DVI -> VGA adapter? I want to use a second monitor, but they are both going to be VGA's.

BTW, I'll be getting an ATi made card...

    Thanks.

Hey Andy, I picked up a Sapphire 8500Le with 128 meg DDR. Although it's clocked really low 250/200 I have it at 261/225 right now and it's perfectly stable.

    I paid $150 taxes INC.

Sorry, just noticed you want a "made by ATI" product, but did you know that Sapphire make product for ATI to sell as there own?? Or so I read somewhere.

No adapter in mine, it was OEM.

Wait until the next Computer show, this time at the airport in april/may, you should have a great selection them.
