If so, it would make absolutely no sense, especially with the two releases that are posted today.Has Paramount gone back to releasing their MOD titles on BD-R?

Actually the 1st two are 1.33 which means they are slightly zoomed in on all 4 sides. This is why they did not look right on the widescreen DVD's because they used this zoomed in for tv master. This also seems to be a common problem for all animated theatrical shorts from the late 50's through the 70's that were originally widescreen. They don't seem to be willing to go back and create new 1.37 open matte masters for these films. Which is a shame as then not only would a correct 1.85 master be possible but those masters would also contain some extra image on the sides not seen since their original release. If so, it would make absolutely no sense, especially with the two releases that are posted today.
Consider this a better alternative to a BD-R release that is coming later.
Last years Snoopy Collection contains all 4 of the Bill Melendez Theatrical Animated features on pressed disc, plus digital copies as well. The only downside is that the first two films are presented in open matte format.
Currently less than $26.00 on Amazon
added Ron's post for that so HTF gets the credit it deserves
