    Oscar,
James Cameron did the awful Piranha 2, which is already out in R2 as one of those nasty budget discs that you see in supermarkets. Play is selling it for a fiver. The original Piranha was directed by Joe Dante and is a great little flick. Spielberg has said that its his favourite out of all the Jaws ripoffs. Theres a R1 Special Editon out but its not OAR. I've got my fingers crossed that this R2 release has the extras and is also OAR.

If it's OAR and anamorphic (of which there is a decent chance), then that sucker's mine!

It is the 1978 Joe Dante classic, as that's the only one MGM own the rights to, and you can get the awful sequel and remake on DVD already in the UK.

That film is definitely in my top five of all time - about the most fun you can have!

Thanks for the info, perhaps I will pick it up if it is indeed anamorphic.

Just received this as a review copy - it is in the correct 1.85:1 aspect ratio and is anamorphic to boot. It looks FAR better than the R1 full-frame edition - the colours are less pumped up/oversaturated and more natural, there's far more picture on all sides of the frame and there's no shimmering at all (the tiny end credits are solid as a rock).

The sound is very slightly more muffled than the R1, but doesn't suffer from the annoying levels of analogue hiss.

Definitely pick this one up in addition to the R1.
